Menston near Ilkley

Apparently the demand for chocolate is encouraging cocoa producers to destroy protected forest to meet supply.

And this is news because?! Any type of mass produced item wreaks havoc on the land. Palm oil is killing off orangutans, tuna fishing kills dolphins, dredging for scallops and other molluscs wrecks sea beds, grazing is being taken over by arable crops all the time, it's even being taken over by solar farms for renewable energy.

They've been doing that already with palm plantations for cheap vegetable oil.

I always wonder how much rain forest will be left in the world, when all lopping ceases to exist, I know there are aims to protect areas, but areas where wide spread felling have taken place the enviroment has and is being eroded away at a fast pace, what outcome will entail from this in the comeing future is uncertain but only time will have the true answers to that.
