How will technology affect your career, or someone doing your job, in coming decades?

What jobs will be left, as computing power, software and robots become increasingly sophisticated?

A great deal of my job could be done by computers but there is an element that always needs to be interpreted by a person...at the moment. As A.I. becomes increasingly sophisticated my input might only be required in a programming or data provision capacity.

I'm retired now so it's irrelevant unless they replace oaps with robots

I currently don't work so don't know how it'll effect me but eventually they will have to bring in Guaranteed Basic Income for everyone.

Long term, our social system isn't built to anticipate the advancement of technology that will happen over the next 20/30 years.

We need a global Resource based economy. Like this www.thevenusproject.com

O agree that our civilization isn't really that prepared for mass unemployment or everyone doing the most basic of jobs, that not even computers or robots would do.

How fulfilled would millions be, if they resumed the kind of jobs that mostly died out many years ago?

Who'll fund the unemployment and retirement years?

Technology already has a massive impact on my job. The robots at work keep crashing into each other meaning I miss my bloody breaks!

I work with human beings... think it will be a long, long, long time until there will be a machine capable of dealing with the autistic mind. ..

technology wont take over for some time, some jobs will tho within the next 50 years, taxis, buses, trains, and most factory work will defiantly go in this time frame.

but other jobs i doubt will be impacted till at least 100years.

after this technology will probably take over nearly all jobs, then who knows what people will do.

Aaah wanting to be a teacher this is already a very hot topic and has been debated many a times ... However I think it is safe to say there will always be room for teachers as somethings cannot be taught via technology or any other means...
