I would say surely so delicious they deserve a crumpet-specific superlative beyond the classification of Bloody delicious...

But I can't think of a better one....

I put heart-shaped sandwiches in my husband's lunch one day. He works in the building trade with family and close friends. I thought it was very funny....he didn't.

"Mmmmmmmmmmm loads of butter or nutella. Alas, watching the waist line so can only dream "

Try them with strawberries, raspberries and blueberries, with a pinch of mixed spice, heated through for a minute then topped with zero fat Greek yoghurt and honey. Delicious and kind to the waist.

I've said it before but I'll say it again. Take a pikelet (they're thinner so work better) or a crumpet. Dip in beaten egg. Smear the resulting eggy bread crumpet style with marmite. Food of the gods!
