Does anyone here wake up with a dry throat every morning? It goes after an hour or so.

Anyone else have this?

You've been catching flies when you're asleep!

OP, do you have the heat turned on in your house? I think this happens more with the dry heat put out by radiators in the winter.

This is what I think it is. Dry air and maybe I sleep with my mouth open. I've had it for about a year now.

I've turned the heating off at 10 pm but it's still the same. I have a glass of water by my bed and drink when I wake up dry. It's still the same.

It's a waste of energy but maybe I'll try sleeping with the window open tonight.

I get a dry throat in the winter sometimes because of the heat. Try turning it off even earlier in the day instead of having the window open (drafts can cause illness).

I also have a lozenge with a mild anaesthetic in it in the morning when I wake up and it seems to help.

It's worse for me in the winter too I think. I don't remember it being this bad in the summer.

I think it's probably the same thing.

I'll sleep with the window slightly open today and see what happens.

I'm quite sure Courtney is right and it's the central heating with a combination of mouth breathing...not diabetes or sleep apnoea..you could have Googled it if you wanted to diagnose yourself with a serious health problem! !

Try putting a cup of water on top of the radiator. This will put moisture back into the air.
