There are plenty of mistruths on sites liked this

Unfortunately it's the nature of the beast where some think it's going to enhance their chances of getting a meet

Fortunately I often meet people for a social first, so that we can decide if we really meet each others criteria before we take it any further

I can honestly say I haven't. I met my other half on here and he'd knocked five years off his age. He thought I had too. When we met I asked him how old he was as he didn't look 48.

He was surprised I really was 53 and said I could easily knock ten years off. I know that, I don't have a line or wrinkle and have very good skin, but so what? No matter how young I look it doesn't alter the fact I'm 55 so I don't see the point in lying!

When you sign up to fab you're prompted to enter your DOB and I know some people aren't keen to use their real one as it can help identify you if used with other info.

It's one of the very few things you can change once you're here as well.

And yes RubyWoo I agree...those who lie about height are little sods! You can't look 6'2" if you're 5'9"!

People lie about their age to get round the age filters and meet people they want to rather than have to. Sometimes people are told to lie about their age otherwise they would struggle to get a meet

Depends on how many years they're adding / subtracting off their actual age.

For example of you tell me you're 28 & you're actually 23, I wouldn't be too impressed.

However, as I chat a lot / meet socially 1st it's never been a problem.

I've adjusted my preferred age on fab, based upon my experience in 5 or so years here. The fab age of meets is what I go on, not what their human age may have been. If people lie in future as a rule, then I'll probably adjust it again.
