I was hit whilst stationary on the motorway, two month after buying my civic from new in 2013.

I got the pretty standard pay out of £1700, but it's left me with a click in my neck, people will always say you're playing the whiplash card, but unless you've been in a car crash. I don't think people realise how much it actually hurts and throws you about, even in a collision under 30mph.

I got into an accident. A car hit us in the side going 55mph. We were in a smart car. The car was totalled. No one was hurt

I have a hard time believing it to this day.

Been there, done that.

The accident was in 2004. The driver behind failed to notice the traffic ahead was stopped for a red light and drove straight into the back of my car at 30-40mph.

I've been left with a permanent back injury which is steadily getting worse with wear and tear. It causes me so much pain and hassle it's beyond ridiculous.

That's pretty much what happened except on the motorway, traffic came to a stop except for the woman driving the BMW behind me

Took me a minute or so to realise what happened but the pain at first was really bad across my chest, eventually got out of the car and lent up against the barrier. Her husband said "ah you'll be alright mate, it's just the shock.

Thought I was alright a week or so later until I tried to go back to work and had to go home

Then the physio started and started pressing in places that really really hurt!

Still got the click that you can actually feel if you push on it.

It's all over twitter, the cyclist pulled him as he had stopped in a cyclist box at traffic lights. What unfolded was quite shocking.

Hahaha! I know the guy that filmed that one and took it to the police. He went on about it and the publicity for weeks afterwards.

Over 30 years experience. But I have also served my country in several hostile environments and saved lives by putting mine in severe danger. But car drivers feel safe in a steel shell and think they can drive better than they can. Long term bikers read roads, conditions and are focused an switched on.

Not all car drivers think they can drive better than they can. They don't all feel safe. Some are aware they could, if they make a mistake, kill themselves and others.

Long time bikers can make mistakes too. Anyone can.

Everything can change in a split second.

Taking stupid risks knowingly just for the thrill is fucking stupid.

Now you have just proved yourself to be a liar, it is absolutely impossible to have 2 accidents that end up with your insurance paying out the amounts you stated earlier without receiving any points on your license, you have tripped yourself up there op, you either have points on your license or you lied about your insurance payouts earlier.

Man's got a point, or two. Most of you just don't like the way he puts it/them.

Speed is addictive, racing around the streets is fun but there are too many issues about it these days. And too many 'amateur sleuths' with their little dash cams desperate to dob someone in.

Yes, speed can be addictive. It's also reckless, irresponsible, selfish and moronic.

Because it's "addictive" doesn't mean it's ok to do it.

If you want an addiction, find one less likely to kill someone else.

Oh, and don't admit to loving speed and driving recklessly and of having had numerous serious accidents and then claim to be a good driver and expect people to accept that.

Good drivers don't act like pillocks on public roads, putting other people's life in jeopardy for an adrenaline rush and rarely have a history of numerous high value accidents.

For minor shunts and bumps, these days people swap details if the agree who was at fault, but for the amounts you were claiming it had to be a major accident, you were at fault as it was your insurance paying out, it happened at least twice that you admitted, so by the facts given you have a minimum of 3 pts on your license or the amounts you claimed were payed out were false or didn't happen, sorry to call you out on this but you have talked quite a lot of twaddle and it's my job to have a very good understanding of the law and how it all works.

We have the safest roads in the world, some of the lowest accident rates.

We buy cars that will top 130mph 0-60 9 secs then drive around never exceeding 60 mph.

90% of people have automatic insurance renewal.

We have become a nation of sanctimonious numptys (or maybe we always were lol)

No wonder the weekend roads are full of bikes weely-ing and hitting the limiter in every gear.

I was on that programme , without my permission. The one with the dash cam and car goes spinning across the 62.

I am not a bad driver. If you look closely at the first showing, a white car comes on the motorway and straight in front of me in the middle lane. I was doing 70 on the cruise control. Slammed on when he pulled out, then moved to the outside lane which I'd checked was clear. Then the car spun..... The rest you can see.

The White car driver was never found so it went as my fault, my car was a write off.......

My friend came over a blind hill on his motorbike on his way home from work traffic had backed up to just over the crest as he sore it he braked hard but knew he couldnt stop ( bike brakes a pretty crap still) there was cars coming the other way so he came off the brake and steered down in the inside edge hitting two cars along the doors taking mirrors off and destroying his bike. He was ok so was all in cars the Police said he wasnt speeding and his insurance paid out for the cars. Two brand new high end cars with lots of damage. No points no charges though so its not always how you said. I felt proud as I taught my mate to ride and he said he had my words going through his head stay in your lane.

I never in anyway claimed anything like that, I'm commenting on what the op has given us on this thread, I don't deal in speculation I deal in fact, so I've taken the ops (facts) and come up with the possible outcomes from it, what you described is entirely different situation, nothing like the op claimed to have happen.
