" Oh god... I spend a lot of time in the junkyard, I have a lot of other people's old tat! An old fashioned car hooter? Mental old fashioned clocks? Convex mirrors? None of that sounds tacky?" I guess that depends on your view of tacky... I have two pictures that everyone else thinks are hideous... they were from home and on the wall when I was wee. I can't remember the name of the artist but I think they are probably hideous.

I reframed it, sealed it with superglue (probably asbestos, heavy metals and bits of human) and got rid of it.

"I've a tacky canvass with swans on it. Doesn't look so bad until you look closer and see that gold shimmery pain has been used as a higlight. I actually bought it. I also have a ceramic swan shaped lamp. And another small ceramic swan I keep crap in. Small crap like pins and paperclips. " Yeah anything swan shaped is right up there with the very best of tackiness...

" Thanks soxy, I'm now wracking my brain to remember which family member had a pineapple ice bucket, I remember it used to sit on the "bar" that was made of old pallets and made to look like oak beams, apart from the bottom bit that was brick, it matched the tv and video unit that was also brick, it might have been my aunt, but then again it might have been one if my mothers friends who I had to call aunt, Jesus, my childhood was a 70s sit com lol
