You can play 'roll call bingo' in those threads and shout "House" when all the usuals have been ticked off!
Actually it's the 95% of unsung posters that really make the forums the diverse place they are and so well done OP for celebrating the unmentionables which are the lifeblood of the forums!! Group hug everyone xx | |||

There is research being conducted (and some that has already been condicted) on group formation and communication in online media. Different personalities tend to have different functions in group text communication. They first started noticing this behavior with the advent of Internet chat rooms. It is often studied in contrast to "real time" group formation (done in groups interacting face to face). The forums would actually be a great place to study this

The guess who thread yesterday you could only join in if you knew people on the forums. But if you look down the topic list there are far more threads that anyone can post on. Fun threads or serious threads. People should concentrate on what they can join in and not what they can't. We where all new once how did we manage to stay here? I do!think newbies should be welcomed, but they also need to understand that people won't jump at your feet. Look how people generally interact. If you went and joined a new social group somewhere, people will probably start by smiling and nodding there head, then the odd word, the more they see you and the more you join in the more you will get included. If someone said to me name three forumites the first three that would come into my head would probably be the people most active at that time. In my own case Im quite shy and private whereas here I bare all and can come across as ultra confident (apparently). It lets me explore part of myself which helps me become more confident in real life situations. Im largely invisible in the forums but I persist as I enjoy it. | |||
