Yes I,ve Noticed this it might be related to all The mild weather we have been getting, Theres probabily more flood warnings now Than all winter, they must be sick of it In some parts like york and the lake district for example.

I think there's a qualifying criteria for naming a storm.. Ie it has to have a mb pressure below a certain figure.,. It's not quite just naming windy weather, if you know what I mean.

December was the warmest wettest December on record and January was the second warmest on record!

There's a list on the Met Office website. I take heart from the fact that, given the limited number of names and the need to avoid repetition, eventually there will have to be a Storm Nobby.
