"People who are into kinkier sex may be psychologically healthier."

What do we think of this statement?

I think a good sex life per se makes one psychologically healthier.

Define 'kinky'...

Personally I don't think it's particularly related beyond trust in a partnership. I know people with no mental health problems who are kinky, some who are vanilla. And I know some people with really severe mental health problems who are kinky, and again some who are very vanilla.

If it means to be true to oneself in self expression and ventilation, then yes.

May be,but maybe not. They can't really get it wrong by saying may be.

Depends if they think that people are relying on one aspect of their life to be fulfilled.

A vast majority of the people I interact with on my favorite kink site have some kind of mental health issue, ranging from depression to no-polar (if there is such a scale, but that's a different discussion) with a high proportion of people with borderline personality disorder, however its not clear if they have mental.health issues because they are kinky, or if they are kinky because they have mental health issues.

Some have said that certain aspects if bdsm help with their mental.health but I would love to see a proper medical study into this.

Where's the statement from? And healthier than what or who? And kinky by whose standards?

If it's good research then fine.
