mens dress code

Just some advice from the ladies please. I find it hard to dress specifically for a club. How does a man dress sexy? I either look like I am going to the office or a ymca reunion.

That's what I usually do but I do that if I'm going to a restaurant too. You ladies look great in your stockings/latex/backless/string numbers and 4 inch heels just wish there was something for us guys. X

Normally abfabs at Heathrow as I live a mile away or eureka if I want to dance. It looks like smart casual and maybe quick release velcro so I can make a stripper style entrance.

That's a dilemma, so if you are out on a date or a meet you have to either dress down and feel uncomfortable or dress up and feel uncomfortable. We need to get you a personal stylist. I'm sure there are smart clothes that you would feel comfortable in.

Next time I might try with a grey blazer, blue jeans and brown shoes not sure on the shirt colour though as I don't do white shirts

I don't go 'out-out' very often

If I do, I go to somewhere that doesn't require an expected dress code.

I am a fat guy but I am not massive by any stretch of the imagination.

I do, however, feel incredibly self conscious in dress / tight clothing.

I feel much better when casual

Thankfully, I no longer feel the need to be trendy as my build never did suit the slim fit shirts and suits that are popular.

I go out where they are tailored in

Understand all that, I was 18st at one point. I would never have suited slim/tailored shirts or trousers, and I really haven't bothered with "trendy" since I was in my 20s. Try "classic" items and you won't go far wrong. Choose the cut that suits your physique.

Seriously though I thank the lord for Ralph Lauren and Timberland for shirts and Tommy Hilfiger for jeans.

Their stuff seems to fit me spot on.

I hear that if you can find "Rugby cut" trousers they are pretty good, fitted but larger. However, I haven't been able to find any within my limited budget.
