"New people don't know the current "you". You can rock up dressed in a more bold way and they will know no different and accept that new "you". I would go bold. " This is my thinking too

"New people don't know the current "you". You can rock up dressed in a more bold way and they will know no different and accept that new "you". I would go bold. " This! It very much depends on the industry though... I work in a law firm and it's old school so if someone turned up in something that wasn't conservative interview clobber, it would immediately be assumed by the stiffs that said person was too garish/stood out too much/wasn't a yes person. I wore a pillar box red suit jacket for my interview and I got the job. They should have known better really. What sort of job is it you're going for? As long as you feel comfortable and confident in your outfit, you'll be grand. Reinventing yourself into a new job is a great thing to do.

"I always plump for navy suit. Lighter blue shirt with nave tie. That said a good trick if you know who is interviewing you. Try find them on Facebook and mirror their image" Powder blue is apparently one of the most successful colours in business
