diet and sex drive.

I have become vegan this year and want to know if my sex drive may change. Everything else has changed but so far I still have a high sexual appetite. (No pun intended). Somehow I have been more pervy this year but that may be due to some "bad" company. Has anyone noticed a correlation between sex and diet?

I find I feel more grrrr when I eat more meat. Or especially straight after eating it. I couldn't go veggie or vegan.

Good on you though fella. Once your body adapts to your new lifestyle you'll know whether it changes. I know a couple of vegans that are randy buggers if that makes you feel any better.

You are probably right my body is just adapting. Glad to know there are some randy vegans out there. My energy levels are still good at the moment.

Just make sure you are eating enough protein. Also foods like broccoli, ginger, watermelon and black raspberries are good for the libido apparently.

The only thing I noticed is that in watching my diet and increasing my exercise in line with that with great success it made me so tired that I was too shagged out to even think about shagging!

Though in hindsight I was overdoing it on a bit too little food I've now levelled out a bit and being in better shape at 43 than I was at 16 I'm now hornier than I was as a teenager.

Vegan of 10+ years here and my appetite has only grown, if anything! Sure that's down to age though haha. Mr has gone vegan too and no complaints there. Well done on a cruelty free lifestyle

Exercise can increase your sexual appetite and, as a vegan, you have lots of options to maintain energy levels so you should be fine!

So long as you keep getting your essential fats - which you can get from coconut oil, nuts and avocado - your testosterone will be fine. You do need exercise/sex/both to release it though. Also pack those bananas down to get your potassium.

Thanks for the advice and I will make sure that I wash any carrots before eating them after reading those comments. Good to know there are other vegans who have a healthy sex appetite.
