It's very gusty here. It's probably worse nearer the coast.

I'm fed up with it. It seems to have been blowing a gale non-stop for weeks.

I have a friend over there who's had 3 ft of snow.

The entire UK panics and shuts down totally if we get 3" of snow, (excluding parts of Scotland who are used to it). Everything grinds to a halt if we have snow. Transport doesn't run, people panic buy bread and milk so shops run out, schools are closed... And very few Brits can drive in snow and ice. It's chaos.

Brigadoon

It's blowing a hoolie here in the highlands. The power has been off three times already. I laid my bins on their sides this afternoon as I thought it better than being blown over uncontrollably but it's actually not been as bad as last night due to the wind coming from a slightly different direction and getting a bit of shelter from the hill. I only realised earlier today it was still storm Gertie. It's just one storm leading into another at the moment!

It's bin day tomorrow and my bin is out. It's probably ok whilst it's full because it's pretty heavy.

If it's still blowing a gale tomorrow, I'll have to try to listen for the bin men and get the empty bin in straight away.

I don't want it blowing into anything and damaging it.
