It would be interesting to see a map of the country that shows number of users per postcode area. Not so detailed that it could identify individuals but just to see the spread of users across the country.

If this could be filtered for male, female, couples etc.

A way to show the oldest messages first. Find ourselves missing out on messages because there got buried by the new mail and don't always have time to reply to more than a few messages. And takes days to reply to all.

It's a whole new level of search criteria for the very small %age that post in the forums I remember less than 1% being quoted.

A better mail system that allows for folders. The ability to search by all the parameters you have to tick a box to select for your own profile. The info is there, so why not use it. Would cut down on the scattergun mail approach. The ability to show as offline so I can mosey around on the forums and not worry I'm upsetting a fab friend by not answering their message when they can see I'm online. A further layer of photo privacy, maybe for those you've met and/or verified. That kind of thing.

In short a proper mail and messaging system

I think the added layer of photos isn't necessary, as public friends and private is enough for me, and you can always attach an image to a message

The site hasn’t really changed since 2005 as someone else already said.

The functions are adequate, still.

be nice to see a few more women though to unskew the ratio of disparity.

Photo verified members allowed to upload cat pictures.... I have tried a long with scenic. Moons, astronomy etc that would make you fall to your knees and weep – strangely if i put a photo of a cat face atop my face it would be allowed.

Meatmarket – tis why there are so few women here in relation to men, I think ;p

Totally agree about getting rid of the sent box, or at least the ability to see if it's been read/deleted. Although the forums might slow down to about 4 posts a day if that happened

This would balance off interest. If a woman has a 0% reply indicator, men will cease paying her attention.

It would reduce frustration for men because they can better direct their messages.

It will reduce frustration for women because it will alter their popularity according to their reply rate!

Women who love attention but who do not reply will lose popularity!

So as I already reply, my reply rate would be high, i already get 100 odd messages a day, if men saw low repliy rates, then saw mine and messaged as more chance of reply, then surely that increases amount mail I get.

What ai get is frustrating enough as it id with gazillion others messaging because of a reply rate.

In fact the opposite, i would end up not replying to the majority

But it would also make copy and post messages even more common unless you limited it to friends

More search options/filters so instead of sending an intro message to someone who, in reality, is looking for something rather different to me would be helpful.

Many of us have limited time on here and we'd get a lot more out of being on the site if it was just a bit more ... 'efficient'...?

I 'think' (might be wrong... has been known) that the entire site would have to be remade in WordPress or some other CMS program to be able to provide sticky notes....

A warning first before any time-outs would seem like a better way to do it and more mature and a better way to treat customers or potential customers.

I'm not sure it would. I'm on another non swing related forum with sticky posts.

There's still dozens of posts from people who don't read the stickies.

Mostly new members and people new to forums.

Keep the charges as they are.

That level of cost compared to actual results (meets of any kind) wouldn't make it worthwhile for many I suspect.

I don't think the fishy site charges that much.

I like the simplicity of Fabs lay-out, design.. Basic mail system.

Many rival services probably offer flashy messaging systems with cams.. Profile Vids.. More avenues for spammers to exploit and craft bots to flood and ruin their service.

I don't know really, it seems fine as is.. Xx.

Because people will be honest! No way would I put my weight on here. It wouldn't tell you anything anyway because it doesn't tell you the ratio of fat to lean tissue or how it's distributed.

My measurements will never be going on here either. I've got my true dress size on my profile, (although even that is misleading as my bust is 5 dress sizes larger than my hips), and I've described my shape and size. That is going to have to do!

a group option for photos(like some of mine)

I post it into the catogory of what fab says, despite me being a single guy, someone else in my pic probably doest mean it should be posted as mf couple.Perhaps 'meet pic'.

how about a sync photo feature?-but privately done:-

I could upload a pic, tag a username and they get the pic link..to either display on their page/private...and maybe even for security/peace of mind, that even I cant display the pic until they agree..

It is easy to fall foul of a few of them unintentionally, even when one has read them. I won't give examples because questioning the rules and the mods is a no no (and because my brain isn't actually working yet

), but a lot of people have been caught out by things that aren't mentioned in the rules, at one time or another.

It's the same with the photo rules. There are some rules the mods are asked to apply that aren't mentioned on the site photo rules page.

The rules are quite general in places though. There are some things it can be impossible to know are not allowed. Until you've done them and had a timeout!

A few are down to the judgement of the mods. The rules say don't be nasty, for example. If you applied that one to the letter, you'd be on here deleting stuff 24/7 and the place would be much emptier! What is a personal insult can be open to interpretation too.

A lot of the stories and experiences we have and sometimes discuss could be classed as dirty laundry. What we can talk about and what we can't, in terms of past meets, (especially ones that didn't go well, like on worst meet threads), isn't always clear.

You have more specific guidelines than we do. Still, since you are a mod, I'd hope the rules are clear to you!
