The smell of semen?

OK, when I read porn or thread entries there are often comments about the smell of semen. I have sniffed mine often enough but can smell basically nothing.

There was something on Braniac or some such a while ago about the smell of urine after eating asparagus. Apparently some people's pee smells different after eating it but only some people can smell it.

Is semen like that? Or is the whole smell of semen thing up there with 'full balls' as internet rubbish?

It definately has a smell, different for different people and quite unique. Some like it, some don't.

It also depends on your diet I eat a lot of fruit especially pineapple which apparently helps with smell and taste

It does smell...... it's not a good smell and tho it may vary a little from person to person the basic smell is the same........ like shit... we all know the smell of shit.

Maybe there is a physical reason why you can't smell your own but there is a smell. To me the smell doesn't vary as greatly as the taste that i have noticed.....

Doesn't really smell of anything just a slight odour I've never noticed any difference from one persons to another I'd probably go with bland and non descript

Ot typically has a scent akin to chlorine or bleach, because of its constitution. I've not noticed wildly varied smell though taste differs.

Mine tastes of skittles but has a faint scent of bleach....I eat a fair bit of soft fruit, strawberries, blueberries, pineapple, banana, raspberries, melon and mango....hence the taste of skittles

mine smells awesome thinking about bottleing it and selling it to M&S exclusively as a smoothy

So most can smell it, some can't.

A very small sample size to be sure, but I wonder if it is like asparagus-pee?

Might need some research on Google Scholar!

I find that different guys smell and taste very different.....I can taste if they smoke and if they have eaten strong flavoured foods....and the texture differs from man to man
