ok night owls, I need help with this; if I buy online, do I need to have my name the same as on my bank card? have heard different things on this subject. ta

Depends on the supplier but not always, companies like Amazon allow you to ship to more than one address

well if there asking for your bank card details including the name on the card.

I'm a bit confused though. Quite a few places give the option to have goods sent elsewhere, and if its a *delicate* item your ordering its descrete what will come up on your statement.

maybe as the purchaser but not necessarily to the point of delivery - as in i have bought stuff for a friend or child - ive bought it - but delivery name is different

Every time I've paid for something online I've been asked to confirm the card is registered to my address. Doesn't mean you can't send items elsewhere. Sometimes they ask for the contact number for the recipient.

As for what will appear on your statement: they tell you. I think Love Honey for example is LH Trading. If the statement is addressed to you does it matter?
