Ive just been quoted £50-£70 for my hair to be bleached and some crazy colour to be applied..

Perhaps i'm out of touch but i think this is a bit steep.

I paid those prices when ive had a full head colour before but this time im only having the mid/ends of my hair lightened and i was the one to buy the crazy colour hair dyes

I think that's quite a reasonable rate to pay to have your hair coloured and got the time it will take.

yesterday i applied a bleaching kit to my hair which stripped the red colour. All the hair dresser said to me she was just going to lighten up the ends a bit further

If you don't agree with the price quoted get another quote. Did he or she check that your hair was strong enough?

Have you thought about a local college.

Mine charges 7 quid for wash cut and blow dry

Level 3 do colouring and charge a fraction of a salon.

The land of grey peas and bacon

I've seen the colours you have chosen don't do it yourself...it's going to cost you then it's the maintenance of the colours you have chosen.

I got my hair done last year (I rarely go to the salon, once a year if that) and paid just over £45 for my hair dyed and my hair cut, I was in there over two hours, I thought it was quite reasonable in price however the 'red' I wanted didn't come out as red as I would have liked and could have saved myself about £30 doing my hair at home with a bottle

little house on the praire

Also salons are always looking for trainees to practice on and the wilderness the better they like it. There's also someone fully qualified watching over them

Central

It depends upon where you are and the salon/staff.

It could be done for far less.

Consider a cheap flight abroad and a treatment there, plus lunch somewhere lovely. Home for dinner and possibly still be quids in.

Get a mobile hairdresser to do it. I use one and pay less than half what I used to in a salon x

Message me what you actually want doing and I'll advise you. Probably one of the most colourful cunts on here and I always do mine myself too so happy to advise x
