Being a complete noob to the club scene, I don't really know what a 'dress down' is, but I'd be quite perturbed by the sight of a man wearing nothing but one rail worker's boot.

dress down is when you remove day clothes and into something a little more sexy - men undies or a towel usually - women - well you get the gist

some clubs you can stayed clothed in the bar area and dress down for playrooms - some you dress down by a certain time - some dress down is compulsory
