not far from iceland,,,,,, tescos is nearer though :-) (near leeds)

So it's often mentioned by some folk on here they'd like a no thanks...

On the fishy site I m on I get a few messages ... As a general rule I send a no thanks message if the lady isn't for me. ...it's makes me feel a bit crappy sending them to be honest.

So would you like a no thanks or a blank box .

I would rather have a nice 'no thanks' message than wait around for ages for a reply that will not come.

once had a polite no thanks

I then messaged back thanking the lady for letting me know,

from that we started a conversation that over a few weeks ended up in a great meet .

so guys if you get a no thanks be polite and say thanks for letting me know,

you never know where it may end

I'd appreciate a reply of any kind but I know most here don't feel obliged to, if my message is deleted, that's fine with me, I just block them so I don't mistakenly mail them again a few months down the line.

I no longer send preemptive messages, that way I know a blank box means I have been successful

Brighton - even Hove!

A non reply to a message is pretty bloody obvious - unless it's me and then I probably will reply at some point or wait for the sender to send another as I have a social fab horror of appearing to be too keen and contacting too much.

So a non reply to my initial message is fine, but don't worry if you don't get a reply from me if you've sent one: send another.

It's nice to get a reply even if it is a no thanks, especially after making an effort to write something that I thought was appealing, but then I add a face pic and no reply, lol.glad I've got thick skin or could have a serious complex on here

I have had a few back that have said no thanks but a bit more to it, I will send a polite thanks for letting me know and leaving them to it, I'd certainly never try and fish for a meet from a no thanks, just don't see how that is possible if they've already said no?

What's wrong with being polite and decent rather than sending a torrent of abuse that some people seem to like sending

to be clear it was the lady who messaged me back as she was surprised by the "thank you", she was not used to guys being polite, so my point of being polite still stands.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

Seeing as I'm a serial non-replier it would be tad presumptuous of me to expect a 'no thanks'

Missed the point somewhat.

I used to say 'thanks but no thanks' but many seem to take this as 'please message me more' instead of moving swiftly on.

Some people get alot of mail so its quicker to just delete and people should accept and move on.if its quite a decent email then a no thanks is a worthy reply.

I'd like to send and receive an easy no thanks, rather than leave people in the dark or possibly be thinking a meet's on, when the others have changed their minds.

A simple automated no thanks type message, coupled with or without a blocking, would work very nicely for me.

It's very much appreciated when a woman takes the time to not only respond with a polite "No thanks", but explain why. This has only happened once though. I messaged back thanking her for her manners and honesty.

Makes not the slightest bit of difference to me it means the same thing, but I have met a guy on the back of me sending a no thanks message, I loved his reply to it, saw him for a few years until he moved away.

I have read many on here say that the general rule is no reply= not interested. But we always reply back if even just to say No, thanks. I guess it's just the Texas girl in me believing in nice manners. Likewise, I would always appreciate some sort of reply rather than being ignored. Rude!

There is no nice way to let someone know they aren't what you're attracted to. It's in the jaws and the eyebrows for me I just know a what I consider handsome face when I see it. Rejection of any kind is horrible and I genuinely don't like being a person that could make another person feel bad even if it's just for a second.
