Theres something nasty going around and I've got it.

Usually sweating it out at the gym works but this is a stubborn one. I thought I was dying at work.

They do have a point. Real flu is vicious, potentially deadly. It's a term used very freely but if you've ever had real flu you won't mistake a cold for flu again.

If you went to work it is unlikely to be flu.

Please don't ever go the gym whilst ill..especially a fever.. it can have serious health consequences at worst and could prolong illness at very least

I had a nasty bout of flu and chest infection before Xmas.. Wiped me out for 5 weeks

I feel your pain .. I'm day 5 into it ..

1st night my vision went blurry and the pains .. OMG the pains..

Had two duvets, heating, fleeced pjs and fire going n I was freezing but fever was in full swing

I cried coz I'd never had it so bad..

Plenty of rest and fluids & flu tabs..

How u can function is beyond me but fair play

It started last week, I was at work shivering despite having a t shirt, jumper and hoodie on.

I'd take time off but you know what employers are like x

Op I've got it too and it is a really nasty cold. I've been ill since weds and usually I can feel better the next day with regular medication, but not this time. Just keep taking meds, have fluids, keep warm

Seems we are all getting the horrible bug!

Day 3 for me, can't not go into work as I am the boss! And add to the fact nobody else can do my job... just keep a good distance from me.

Paracetamol and southern comfort seems to be helping a little bit
