When the St. Nicholas hospital in Great Yarmouth shut we explored that before it was turned into flats. As an ex mental health institution it had a very eerie vibe. Used to get books from the library and research all the old haunting sites and explore them. Norfolk has quite a lot of them out in the counteyside and used to entertain us for hours as teens.

We went to a haunted castle event at Bolsover Castle for an English Heritage event on Halloween. They had actors to scare you and everything.

We also stayed overnight at Dover Castle once and they did a ghost tour.

I don't believe in that nonsense, but it was fun anyway

I have a friend who goes 'sploring and takes photos. Some of the old hospitals look like something out of a horror film.

Central

We had a huge derelict mansion near to my home that was 'known' to be haunted.

As children we made just one trip to it - it's probably the most frightened I've been at about 6 years old. I'm still feeling a little of the scariness as I write this.

Of course nothing happened but we felt ghosts were everywhere, as well as the deranged people who used to inhabit the place, seeking to kill us.

not explored but stayed in a very old medievel hotel - old wooden floors and doors that were all shapes and sizes - huge dining room with a wonderful fireplace and over sized pictures - embroidered hangings and mirrors everywhere - old 4 poster beds and felt it could easily be haunted

Does anyone here believe in ghosts? After a few encounters I would say I certainly do. An old mansion in my old local woods is one place I just cannot forget

There's a hotel in Shrewsbury called the Prince Rupert which is one of the most haunted places in Britain apparently. Stayed there twice, even in one of the 'haunted' rooms and nothing.. Not a dickie. Certainly wasn't ghosts putting the willies up me them nights!! xx

I used to live in an old asylum. No, AFTER it had been converted into apartments you cheeky lot. It was a beautiful building and a gorgeous apartment. But it had a horrible vibe to it, something wasn't right and I really hated it.

I have done a lot of paranormal research and used to take people on tours of haunted castles in Ireland . Have done many scientific based experiments with a research group here in the republic of Ireland . Hundreds of hours painstakingly checking footage and conducting experiments in a closed scientific based manner yielded nothing over the years , but an interesting pasttime none the less .
