"A sprain and tear are one and the same.... It is just a case of terminology....ligament damage takes longer to repair than a fracture and requires more gentle exercise. ....sympathies though, because I tore mine a few years ago, it was only comfortable to rest it in the position it was originally twisted ouchhhhhhhh xxxxx" surely a sprain is just an over extension of it where as a tear is just that....the ligament gets permanently damaged. My tear requires surgery to fix but as i a am not that sporty and can build my muscles up to compensate there is no need to go under then knife. i have never heard of anyone needing surgery to fix a sprain. i'm off to google | |||
