Why is Britain the cctv in the World....we living on this Island are the most heavily surveyed on the planet...20% of all the worlds cctv are HERE....

Really annoys me that wherever I go, theres a fair chance I`m being watched...fecking impinges on my Liberty..

Espicially the new breed of camera coming into fashion..the one that issues a disembodied voice......" don`t sit there " or " pick up that litter " or " move on , don`t congregate here "

The arguement was put before us that it would help reduce crime..Tho it would appear theres little corroborating evidence to support that premise...

Seems to me , we`re moving into an era of ever more CONTROL..really pisses me of !!

I never have a loyalty card..tracking me either..information surveillance sucks..

Seems like a stealth attack .....

Seems Orwells 1984 was far more prophetic than any of us, could possibly realise..

Yet I never hear people complain ...

Really ...us the British ....who`ve fought wars fer personal freedom ..

How the feck, have we ended up here ?

Did I really sign up fer this?

Rant over

I don't complain because I don't care.

If having cameras round the place means that just one person is safe from a mugging or a rape or a murder then great. If it means that someone is mugged/raped/murdered and there's a chance the person can be caught because of the cameras then even better.

I haven't got anything to hide.

Same as us,cctv isnt there just to spy on us,if you got mugged at the cashpoint withdrawing your money you would be pleased that there was ccv.

Surely to constitute a complaint, its necessary to address the issue with the source of the irritation……… otherwise its just becomes yet another person moaning about something they dont like,,,

As moaning is rarely regarded as an effective form of protest,,,,, if all we ever do is moan about a problem the precieved problem will usually continue to exist in the eyes of those at issue with it…..

To be the change you want to see in the world, you don't have to be loud. You don't have to be eloquent. You don't have to be elected. You don't even have to be particularly smart or well educated.

You do, however, have to be committed to more than just moaning about it.

Ok thats me in and outta here,,,,, Hit and Run......hohoho

Beeston

Welcome back to the forums Soxy.

I don't really have a big issue with it, I'm not a criminal and I don't really believe any conspiracy theories about it all.

It has no impact on my daily life at all as far as I can see. *shrugs*

in the night garden

I've seen a few bits of CCTV footage of people shagging outside night clubs. One girl continued eating her kebab while being drilled from behind which I found fascinating to watch.

If CCTV brings more of this type of entertainment I'm 100% in favour.

Have neither seen nor hear of these yet.

There certainly are instances where it has helped solve a crime but it would be difficult to find evidence that it stopped a crime since if the crime does not happen .... see what I mean.

On the other hand I do not yet know of any cases where it has actually infringed on people's personal liberty. Does anyone else?

Purely gesture of solidarity with Viccyboi and Funkster Munkster…. I shall hence forth declare myself to be a one off Alfa-beta Tranny of some ill-repute, I bow to no-one taller than me in 5inch heels ,,,,,,,and I reserve the right to chortle away is style of my choosing regardless of seasonal appropriateness or indeed even whilst surreptitiously captured live on camera grinding out yet another mini moment of self indulgence openly displaying my arse in an ever failing attempt to clamber that slippery pole of morality…

Oh yeah baby,,,,,, the higher we fly,,,, the smaller we are gonna look to those who remain grounded…..

I remember starting off knowing roughly where I was going with all this.... but it just got away from me after the first 3 words.... IDK

Yikes !!!!!!
