How do you unstick sticky rice that's got stuck in a non stick pan?

Soak it in warm soapy water? If the bottom of a Teflon pan is scratched, you shouldn't really use it anyway.

agree with the hot soak - then a wooden spatula to rub it off the pan - no scratching then

Fill the pan with warm water and a bit of washing up liquid, or washing soda if you have it. Put it back on the heat and boil it til the burnt rice floats off.

Biological washing powder in a soak? It's brilliant for sink unblocking I hear so give it an experimental whirl on the pan. And report back, I've never tried it since I am a Fairy non-bio girl so have to make do with a plunger.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

It sounds like a cooking disaster rather than a washing up disaster.
