It's something we often do when kissing or cuddling...my question is, why do we?

"To enhance the other senses."

Also demonstrates trust in a lot of animals. It's not necessarily a conscious decision.

when you are that close it's uncomfortable to have your eyes open..with a cheek or an ear 2 inches in front of you.

Only time I have kept my eyes open was when there was someone horny on the other side of the room. xxx

Contentment. Feeling of safety. Not needing to be alert to surroundings since when you're with that person you're in your own special bubble. Sight is an incredibly important sense so relinquishing it to rely on others is a very intimate gesture.

I'm guessing it's a mixture of trust and relaxation but we with many instinctive responses - and this may be a mix of instinct and what we've learned - we can only really guess theoretically why it is this why.

My spelling is atrocious today - my eyes are closed as I'm kissing you all and that's enough multi-tasking, without reading too.

I don't know, but I've discovered I can't cum with my eyes open. I just can't do it. There was an extensive testing process.

think its something we do without giving it any thought - sometimes though when you look at each other as you come together is mind blowing

I do it, as others have said, to enjoy the other sensations of the hug and kiss, take in the moment.

Others do it with me so they haven't got to look at me
