Is this an 'organised' event

i.e. with Asdas permission ?

That's gonna be some 'exit' if the police turn up seeing as there is only one way in & out of the car park

"If the police turn up"

I like your optimism

Police are all over anything like this, they usually just maintain a presence as some knob head in his mums corsa turns up and starts wheel spinning and doing burnouts.

At any modified street cruise you'll generally find other than the cars moving to park up or leave. The only cars actually having the engine running are the audio cars.

Most people there just want to go and have a good time whilst checking out what's on show.

It's the minority which are bell ends and give the whole scene a bad name.

Yours sincerely

An audio car owner

Just to add.

The last big street cruise I went to had a huge police presence, ANPR cameras on the entrances, car patrolling and cars set up at the motorway exits to catch anyone who decides to leave in a hurry.

These can actually be great events. Rarely now is it just a small group whizzing around the car park. I used to help organise events in the Midlands and a lot of liaison between the police and clubs.

Many groups/clubs also do lots of charity events. Used to love the annual Santa run, decorating the cars and organising fund raising for the children's ward and taking toys in for them.

You get such a vast array of cars too. Mfn IIs still good once the right season. Sadly not got a car to show or tinker with currently..

Organised events the police often send a few under cover cars... When I used to do it the local police had a modified type r civic...

Often they take the high performance cars down or even send the bike cops down..

Modified cars these days have so many regulations and issues to keep them on the road that its not even that full of young uns anymore. I used to get called mumsey when I did it as I was so much older but it was a good laugh

I'd say the average age is over 25 for people who attend.

I've put thousands into the audio on my car.

Love the surprise when people realise it's only two 10" subwoofers last tested at 141dB on music rather than test tones with approx 1000 watts RMS going into them.

Looking into a new amp this year to give 2500 RMS

Its easy to spend a lot on car audio. I miss having a audio car and a track car.. Currently just have the mumsey car...
