Sunday dinner...

What's on the menu tonight then?

I've been on a bit of a mission with my slow cooker and made tomato and basil soup last night for my lunches this week at work. It's delicious... I'm right happy with myself and my soup.

So this morning I got up and chopped veggies and seared my beef to make beef bourguignon and it's in the slow cooker now. Smells amazing.

I've cooked from scratch all week and feel like I've got myself back into the cooking habit. Yum!

What are you having?

I've just ordered an obscene amount of very naughty food from the pizza place.

Too tired and hungover to contemplate cooking today

I'm back into the slow cooker thing right now. Made slow cooked pork with ginger beer, cranberries and 'mulled wine' type spices yesterday. It's fab

Apparently we're having sage & onion stuffed chicken with the regular trimmings... compared to last week's effort, which was poppadoms & dips, followed by curry - chicken korma for me - rice & naan bread.

Pushed the boat out today...

Did tempura battered sweet peppers filled with cream cheese and hot pepper sauce as a cheeky starter.

Honey and mustard roast pork cooked in cider-made the gravy from the juices. (proper crackling)

Roast potatoes and parsnips cooked in goose fat with rosemary garlic and onion. Carrots, brocolli, cauli. Proper yorkshire puddings but with loads of cracked pepper and thyme through the mix.

Finished off with peaches flambéd in honey and spicy rum served over ice cream and with a topping of pecans in caremalised molasses.

Just about to make a spicy tunisian chorba. (Lamb and tomato soup with harissa.. possibly some chillies too)
