South East Midlands NOT

A friend asked me where I'd most recently been on holiday.

The answer was Marrakech. To which she replied "i'd love to go to India".

"So would I!"

Have you ever made a funny destination error?

E.g. I thought 'east angular' was abroad.

"An ex of mine thought Istanbul and Constantinople were 2 different places "

I think that's understandable if you don't have any clue of the history though.

London and France

Not my mistake; but when I lived in The US for awhile , they would say "

You are not from round here, are you?"

In many places, I gave up saying I was from England, as the response was usually " ah, ain't that some place near New York?"
