Songs that trigger memories

Do you have any songs that, when you hear them, bring back a memory that made you laugh, smile or...?

One that I remember fondly is "is this the way to Amarillo"

I was staying in Gran Canaria and was going to a bar (that's not there now ) it was run by two male former Mental Health nurses. They had a theme song to drum up trade for the bar which was "is this the way to Amarillo" each evening the owners would put on that song and sing along with radio mikes and tambourines. One evening their lesbian friends were there and one had her birthday. Her partner had bought her a large dildo and had been embarrassing her with by taking it out and telling people it wasn't for her pussy that it was for her botty.

Amarillo came on and the owners came forward with their mikes and encouraged their new barman to join in. He was looking lost as he didn't have a mike -- the lesbian shouted "catch" and threw him the dildo which he caught looked at and proceeded to sing into it (as one might do with a hair brush).

He got a cheer for his efforts.

When I hear Amarillo I always think of that and smile

Kings of Leon - Youth and Young Manhood reminds me of a boy I dated in secret.

Better Middler singing "from a distance" slow dancing with my first love in a holiday romance on a Saturday night in "The Bush" in Chichester in July 1991. I was singing along with her and when it came to "the Lord is Watching us..." he said "I hope not" my reply was "with approval"

Listening to Therapy? At the moment reminds me of my teenage days at college and mad Monday nights down the nightclub for Students night with Miller Draft at one pound a pint, those were great days!

Here Comes The Sun by the Beatles, was being played by a busker on a really memorable day at work, went out to a boozy lunch, London was announced as winning the Olympics and the following day was the 7/7 bombings where I was fortunate to be on tube line with a hangover that wasn't attacked. Always a poignant song.

Revolution by the beatles. I remember it coming on my ipod one sunny day when i was walking through the city and realising i was in love. If i hear it now i feel energetic and empowered.

Im horny funnily enough reminds me of my gran and makes me laugh. She sang it a lot when it came out. It took a few days for us to work up the nerve to tell her the words. She thought it was im honey. I didnt explain what horny was though just that it was rude...said she prefered her version 

Perfect memory by remyzero reminds me of my dad not a song we listened to i didnt know him very long. But i chose it for his funeral x

Spirit of 76 ,by the Alarm. This reminds me of summer evenings with school friends ,we had a band and had plans lol. We sat drinking home brew wine and tartan bitter.

Trying to chat up girls ,with little success, sharing laughs , songs and cigarettes.

Great lads good days sadly one or two are no longer with us.

This song was playing on the CD when I started my dad's car the day I took it to the garage to sell it after he past away spook!

There's a panic @the disco song that reminds me of my last family holiday with my parents and sisters, I would have been about 14, my sisters 12 and 8 singing full blast to this song to a caravan park for a 2weeks holiday.. sun was shining and I remember us all laughing hard at it.

Theres some the feelings song that mark significant moments in our relationship that unless explained people would think we're crazy.

Spiderpig from the Simpsons movie reminds me of losing my virginity.

Texas songs remind me of spring cleaning at my parents house when it was a warm day and I was cleaning the bedroom windows me and my mum making memories.

Thats only naming a few
