What do some people expect when you put clearly on your profile what you're looking for and how to get our attention, then blatently ignoring our requests or showing that you havent read the profile. Then bombarding you with messages, despite not replying to their message. This means you fall into one or more of these catagories

.NEEDY

.Desperate

.ignorant

How do they expect to get on with this attitude that lacks respect or dignity. These 3 things ive high lighted are not attributes...thoughts!

This - Put all your filters up to stop incoming messages and do your own prospecting if it's giving you that much of a headache.

Wink, message "wanna meet?" And a friend request, without so much as a look at what we're into. It just seems that single guys have a hard enough time of it as it is, then they go and sabotage their own chances with their effortless approach. We dont ignore single men as we know its not exactly easy for them but theres a significant number that turn couples away from allowing single men to even message them, which must be frustrating for the good uns

I like the messages I get from tiny dicked, ugly, fat/skinny men who have clearly thought 'fuck it. maybe she's massively changed what she wants'.

Then the abuse when refused, deleted etc

To be honest your profile text is way too long. People are probably too lazy to read all of it. Doesn't make them all the things you say they are.

I could say all the messages you get have probably gone to your head and given you some kind of superiority complex, but I wouldn't without knowing you so I won't.

my profile text is not long,but it is still annoying to trawl through messages that are 99% from people who havent bothered to read my profile...and i am a short dumpy 52 yr old,a superiorty complex is the last thing ive got!

I think that issues are only issues if you want to make them so.

In an ideal world YES people would read profiles. They'd only contact if met criteria of what you're looking . They'd send a eloquent message showing they their interest some humour ect ect .They'd also respect a knock back if it came. But as we all know all of this starts with "once upon a time " as it's a fairy tale .

You can't control what others do or don't do on the site .But you can control your reaction to them . You can get fed up and gripe but the only person it's affecting is you . Use the tools as people have mentioned .Or just simply view it as making your vetting easier when you get one of these messages . You clearly would have zero interest in said person so a very quick block and delete and on to next person ! Done!

I do my own searching and find it's worse when I turn down someone I've initiated contact with and requested a picture from. Last night i replied to some messages that were sent two weeks ago when I had my filters off for a day. 21 men went unlos after I told them they weren't my type so apologies to fab for the member content going down.

If someone can't even read a profile then it shows they're lazy with low standards as willing to meet someone they have no idea what they're about. I delete and block as that's not the type of person I'll waste my time on.
