Men and women are different. Some stereotypes exist for a reason.

I say many un pc things with my friends as a joke and that's all it is, a joke. Doesn't mean a chauvinist, rascist, whatever-ist. They never intended it to be broadcast, just two people joking with each other who've known each other for years.

Women's attendance at football matches may be increasing - I don't know - I haven't looked at any stats for over twenty years.

What I do know is that women have always attended football matches. The percentage of women in the crowds a century or more ago were much larger than they are now.

It's a commonly held fallacy that women know nothing of football.

Pre organised football , whole villages played against each other. The ball was a dried and inflated animal bladder , usually a sheep. The players included women, men and children.

Inter village football matches steadily declined as did street football due to many small changes in society like the growth of local authorities, education , police forces, rules , commercial properties, glass windows etc ....

Buisness owners would complain about damage to property and football became confined to parks.

Attitudes toward women changed slowly with their lifestyles becoming more and more restricted. Women were to be in the home especially during Victorian times. They were bound to do as their husbands told them to do.

Sadly, women were discouraged from attending football matches and frowned upon for not being with their familes.

I won't go any further , suffice to say that every man , even today needs to think ......

While he is playing football every Saturday ... or watching it for that matter....

Where are his children ?

Who washes his kit ?

Who provides his meals ?

Okay there are more egalitarian households these days but historically it is true. Before the full hard hold of capitalism got a hold on football it was fun for everyone.

In later years men had time to play as someone did all the work for them.

How many could play if he had to Shop,Cook ,Clean and Mind his own children.

Im not surprised women don't have time to do things. Not once they have children anyhow ..

i know the offside rule - it's when the ball is passed to the attacking player who is ahead of the last defence player apart from the goalkeeper, when the ball leaves the boot of the passing player.

But they were being chauvanistic, so hell slap it into them!

Certain females stereotype males. Certain males stereotype females.

It's seldom okay.

It's never okay in a professional setting where a woman's career can be ruined.

Telling women they haven't got a s.o.h when they object is another way of silencing them.

Unfortunately young girls take it on board and think that they have to stay subdued to be liked.

I'd rather cut my tits off than let a man cut my tongue out.

Once again you say females as if we are all one homogenous group with no independence of thought. Some women have more in common with like thinking and acting males than they do with some of their own gender and vice versa. Yes there are differences but there are enormous similarities both intellectually and culturally. It wasn't funny it was derisory and harmful.

As for young men....the majority of them are more enlightened than the generation before them. So we can give thanks for that.
