Justin Bieber is number 1, 2 & 3 in the charts and we have lost Lemmy, Bowie and Rickman.

Coincidence? I think not.

Well I have never heard any of his songs I wouldn't have a clue what he looked like. But teeny boppers have always dominated the chart sales unless someone dies.

Once you hit a certain age then you tend to buy albums rather than singles.

Suppose there will always be a "bieber", people moaned about the Beatles, Elvis and so on, and no doubt once the teeny boppers of today grow up there will be some other little upstart dominating the charts that they don't like...

oi stop bloody confusing me you pair. I thought singles where things that you now download and people actually went out and bought albums on viynal and CDs where "so yesterday" or am I getting too hip and trendy for my own good.

I wouldn't even know now to download a song

Never thought about Elvis or the Beatles like that but interesting analogy.

I don't listen to his music, but it is interesting how the general public's perception of him seems to have become more positive over the past six months or so

When I can't get the CD player in my car working I tend to skip through all the pish chart fodder stations until I find some half listenable tunes.

9/10 times I end up dialed into radio 2.....middle age creeps up on you like that

Justin fecking bieber.....wee pop brat nyaff!

Lemmy shall be a rock god forever more and the biebers of this world aren't fit to lick the piss off his boots!

When you were young(er) though, do you ever remember, as I do, thinking I will never be middle aged I will always dress well and be 'cool'.

Then you get older and you look at kids and their interests and think 'no thanks', in turn meaning you have become what you wanted to avoid?

In fairness, if I still dressed like I did at 16 I would look a bit of a tit!
