It's a pleasure having you both here. We actually need more people like you in the UK. You got any friends you can ship over?

Be thankful you landed in Yorkshire the best county in the UK That can only have added to you enjoyment

Here's to many more wonderful years in the UK for you both *raises glass*

No, the UK isn't quite how I envisioned it. Better in some ways, worse in others. I think I was ridiculous, though. I thought everything would be very old and historical and I'd be living in a fairy tale or something. Typical American!

The hardest thing to adapt to? Probably working less than I did in the US. People got annoyed at me for sending emails on the weekend. So it took me a while to learn to stop.

I had a friend who!came from a little island near Belize, she !married a British soldier and moved over and she thought it was going to be full of fairytale stuff and castles as well. Odd as its not something I'd associate the UK with

I dunno if you're aware, but I read that if you earned less than $62k in 2015, you're eligible to prepare and e-file both your federal and state returns for free. And they give you efile software for free.

It may not even apply to non residents, so it may be a waste of time looking into it.
