Brighton - even Hove!

Have you ever been to one? Did you recognise everyone? Was it good to see old school friends? Did you school appear to be smaller than you remember?

About 10 yrs since I last went to mine, Kingham Hill nr. Chipping Norton which I left in 1979. There were about 5 people who were there during my time of incarceration (it's a boarding school lol). Have thought about going back again, but fear there would be hardly anyone I would recognise now though

Not quite the same but I went to a sort of open day for "the old girls". I recognised loads of people who also recognised me and yes, it was good to see them and catch up on their lives. The school did appear smaller and walking round it brought back some great memories but also made me very aware of passing time.

I have remained in touch with one person since we left anyway and have since met up with another through work.

Although I have given a number of lectures and oil-field careers presentations at one of my old schools..... I would never attend a class reunion event...

I'd love to visit two primary schools I went to, but as one is in Bangkok and the other in the Solomon Islands, the chances are pretty slim

I've been back to my primary school to help out with a play and it seemed so tiny. My secondary school is massive now as they got a new building and expanded, so it's huge.

Always hated the idea of school reunions but the one I went to last year was brilliant, only about 30 there but they where all people I was friends with at school!and it was so weird we just fell straight back into how things where and now have our own group on Facebook to organise other stuff together.

Secondary school got pulled down a couple of years a go!which was a shame as my dad, me and my son all went there

It's never appealed to me, and there are very few people that I would want to meet again.

Then there's always the trouble that I might end up lamping those who used to bully me. I'm a lot bigger nowadays

The first boarding school that I went to from '69 - '75, was turned into luxury flats in the '90's. Quite sad, but I had many happy memories there

I'd love a primary school reunion but I'd hate a secondary school one with a passion. I was a strange quiet teenager from a very poor family and social services were involved. I really didn't fit in with the affluent Harrogate Christian kids I went to school with.

mines been turned into houses, but the new secondary school they've built is pretty amazing it needed knocking down just sad its the end of an era,

Just recently been to mine. We try to meet up once a year after our first one 4 years ago. There is usually around 40 of us. It's great as we always have such a laugh. I think I was very lucky to have such a great year at school.

As for recognising everyone... the ladies were immediately recognisable. The guys less so

It was my 30 yr re-union last summer (yep - I'm THAT old!) about 50 out of 180 turned up! It was lovely to see everyone but I couldn't believe how old most people looked and - more importantly - acted! It was a bit of a shocker! Only a few of them seemed to remember we're not oap's yet. Needless to say they're the ones I chatted to! Xx

I think this year is my 10 year reunion for high school...I don't intend on flying back to NY for it. I keep in touch with friends already and don't much care about the rest of them.

You couldn't pay me to go to a reunion. If I never see any of my school "friends" again it'll be too soon. Not that wonderful a time for me in many ways. I have no interest in ever returning.

There's a good reason I haven't kept in touch with anyone from school...I didn't like em.

Hands down those days were the greyest most structured shit boring days of my life too and there isn't a soul I miss be it pupil or teacher.

The last one I went to, there was one teacher. The others had all either refused or died. I didn't recognise many people and for an amusing half hour pretended to be someone else. I'm not in contact with any of them. The school seemed a lot smaller although there was more of it.

Recently went to look around my old high school with my own child and so many teachers recognised me!

it hasn't changed much at all.

There was a recent school reunion as its 10 years since we left, but I didn't go.

23years since i left and i would not go back for any reunion, and i have not kept in contact nor seen anyone i went to school with since. Never had time for most of them at school so no time for them now.
