Discuss - I wonder if the site should remove single ladies ability to look at profiles privately.

That way us chaps get to really see who has looked at them.

I'm sure there will be pros & cons for and against and some I've not thought of so let me know what you think.

Nah, because women would just become inundated with even more messages from guys. Which would lead to them never looking at others profiles, then they'd probably just leave the site.

Why should they? Everyone on here has the ability to do it so why take it away from just one group of users?

I look at profiles in 'stealth'. I'm just looking, doesn't mean I'm interested!

It's just the same as any filter on here, it's about personal choice.

Maybe we should stop men doing it so that they can't sit behind a screen wanking over our pic??? then we could block them if we didn't like the look of them!!

I can't see the relavence of the looked at me option. I look just cause I'm a nosey cow but seriously what purpose does it serve.

You HAVE to open a profile to see if there is anything of interest there, how would you know anything about the person.

Also if someone looks at your profile and doesn't message you surely it says they are not interested in you.

If someone is interested then they will message you.

It doesn't even tell you if someone is bi, gay or straight without opening a profile or their age range or interests.

Secretly feel chuffed and slightly miffed if they haven't said hello / fabbed me. I will have a look back, read the profile and fab a photo if I meet criteria. After that it's up to the lady / couple to reply. If not then ho hum and head to a club x

In a refreshing change from the norm this would only result in single women open bogus single male profiles for the purposes of perving!

I for one was enormously grateful to discover stealth mode. Prior to that when I popped into a profile and thought "nope, not for me", nine times out of ten it would result in a "do you like what you see?" message. Same as I love the online blue dot. I normally won't open a message until I know the sender is off line - a good example this morning when I opened a blue dot message and received a further sixteen from the same person inside of ten minutes! Annoying.

I would totally do this

It would make the "why are straight men looking at my profile/fabbing my pics" threads much more interesting, though

I like to see who has viewed my profile, but I don't for one second think that just because they have looked at me it means that they want to meet... That's just pure stupidity!

At the same time it is the users right to remain stealth if they wish, makes no difference to my life.

This is why I perve in stealth mode.

I don't need my pic ms fabbed, I don't need someone to feel miffed that I didn't say hello and if I didn't contact them then it was because they didn't interest me. If you don't know I looked in the first place, you wouldn't feel miffed.

Nope...they already get inundated with male, and this would escalate if every male they ever view on here was aware of it! Just because they view a profile does not imply that they are interested. I view loads of profiles and just move right along.

Furthermore, if they want you to be aware that they have viewed you, they can always switch off the 'hide' feature for a bit

Fabbing a photo is a sign that a person is interested? Oh. I would never even think that a guy fabbing a photo indicates that he is interested in communicating further.

Sadly they do. Guys who send multiple messages to one person do put the rest of us at a disadvantage.

I've read female profiles where they are ranting about not wanting single guys to get in touch because of past bad male behaviour. At the same time they have a meet posted to play with single guys and haven't taken filters off to allow replies (or they have and I missed the window). Frustrating but I understand why it does happen.

Yes I've had some success here from direct contact but more from club meets. No substitute to getting out and chatting to people.

What does it matter who's looked at you

If I look and you pubically and not mailed you or looked at you privately and not mailed you, I've still not mailed you so why would your being able to see I've looked make any difference?

All that would happen is women would get hundreds of men they have no interest at all in saying.... Hi I noticed you viewed my profile......

Yet many many more women are quite capable of not ranting against single men on their profiles.....why would you even want to contact someone with an aggressive ranty profile. I just don't understand that mentality. Do you really think that the behaviour of a few dickheads on a website would influence someone who doesn't have ranty tendencies to rant and become aggressive? I sincerely doubt that!
