Has anyone used this site to book? I've read and good and bad reviews!

. Yes . I have used them but they are simply a broker for all the large hire companies .

You need to download your booking confirmation before collecting the vehicle .

I don't like them. I booked a car for my trip to Japan last summer. Everything seemed to be in order, but then, three days before I was due to go, I realised I hadn't received a booking confirmation. I called them up, only to be told my booking had been cancelled because I didn't have a credit card.

Had I not realised I didn't get a confirmation, I would have travelled all the way there thinking I had a car to get around.

I use rental cars everytime I come home...

All depends on price and all are ok as long as you don't have any incidents....

My first choice for booking or searching would be via a cash back site. They offer some commission to you that they get back from the sellers that they link you up to - most high profile businesses have relationships with them.

You may get a percentage or a fixed lump sum back. Car hire, hotels, flights, most shops, insurance, mobile phone service and tons more will pay them, for them to pay you.

I recently used Netflights to book a car from Alamo as they were cheaper than going direct. Got a Rav4 for three weeks for £400 all in.

. They are on TV this morning in a programme called RIp Off Britain . It concerns a car which was written off by the hirer abroad .

I have never had any issues with them..
