Done it a few times since I found one on our land. Have found a trackable that's currently in Greenland via Chicago which is pretty cool.

It's an excellent way to get reluctant kids out of the house

I always seem to be carrying an ikea pencil and a small token/ gift to exchange, in my coat pocket

Thinking of trying this. How do you find the cache when you have got to the right spot? Are they hidden in trees or behind bushes?

We thought it would be a good way to find some out of the way places for photos

You often get a hint - and get to try your powers of deduction to think where would I hide something...

Found another one!! By pure luck!

And I'm chatting to the guy who placed it.. His clue is mental.. "When in Rome, 4Y".. Roman numerals IV and the Y.. Ivy. Because there's ivy on the tree :')

He's also telling me where his son lives which is a bit odd.. Playing Cupid maybe? Lmao

I love geocaching!! I did a sponsor one three years ago for my charity, I found just over 100 in one weekend, the kids love it too, especially ones with the lunch boxes, they aren't so bothered about the micro ones, I love these ones though, I can't wait for the summer to introduce Adam to it!!

Yes, I go geocaching a lot - love it, and all those fabulous strange places that I end up in.

But sometimes it's a bit like swinging - you see someone else hanging about and acting strangely...

Are they one too...?

Should you try approaching? Is there some special secret signal to say "Yes, I'm one as well!" Do you risk giving them a quick flash of your Garmin...?

Or are they a dangerous muggle? Are you risking letting them know the big secret when they are completely the wrong people...????

Sound familiar...?

Far too similar!

I was out in the wood near me and got chatting to a guy who I thought was geocaching - he was looking for fun with another gentleman.

That not what I am looking for, but led me to look at dogging sites so I knew where to avoid - thing is I found this site, stuck around met a few people and have been to a swinging club a few times.

The boundary between MK and Northants has hundreds of them. They are going to be gathered up and put in a time capsule.

Love geocaching - been to all kinds of wonderful places we wouldn't have seen otherwise.

If the weather is good this year we might see if we can combine geocaching with some outdoor pic taking on the way there or back
