"I used both and they both worked. At my biggest I started with SW, I needed to know I was still able to feel full and could eat as often as I wanted. That stood me in good sted for almost 5st. Then I began to plateau and realised that my next challenge would be controlling portion size - and so I went to WW and have lost almost 3st with that. Both work fabulously, like all diets - if you stick to them. " Well done! | |||

I did find though with SW portion control was a bit of a challenge. For example I would go out and buy the largest jacket potato just because I could so after a while my weight loss wasn't as good. Lack of discipline on my side. | |||

"Slimming world was far to.restrictive for me... Yet relied on portion control... Which lets face it is hardly my strong point. Loved ww... Till the change recently. Loved filling and healthy but the new smart points have taken away the choice that I enjoyed so much. Don't get me wrong I get why they changed it.. And the new approach is about changing habits not dieting but I was losing 2-3lb every week on the old plan. The new plan I'm just not enjoying. The best bit was that they changed the plan And you could trade in Your old stuff for the new points system. So was good to not have to shell out for new books, or calculators and scales x " SW restrictive? how so? | |||

I start my day with a big breakfast... Cooked. With bacon, mushrooms, even a fried egg ( with spray oil). Crumpets etc. But sw I couldn't eat out as easy and stay within limits and if I am honest. The whole idea of syns psychologically made it to hard for me. WW gave me much more freedom and yet didn't give me the issue with portion sizes on things like pasta. We its measured for things like that... Much better for me x I'm.sure sw has ex ww members who say why ww, didn't work for them.. same as ww meetings get ex sw members. | |||
