Waking up in the daylight! Half 6 never looks so bad in summer. And feeling like there's a whole evening ahead of you when it's still light gone 9 rather than feeling like you want to go to bed when you get home.

Nice thought.

I used to when I lived at my parent's if they were out but my garden now is overlooked.

I found it at first a bit weird, but after 10 mins of reading my book I was a whole world away.

The beach was also pretty empty (not because of me mind!), just a few very old and very fat germans!

Waking up and opening the curtains and lying in bed with the sun shining through the window, a breeze gently caressing my skin…

A cold beer in the garden at the end of the day…

Barbecues with friends and family…

Getting excited about the next flower that appears in my garden… (it’s the little things! Lol)

Nude sunbathing and playing outside… Nothing quite like it…

what i like most about summer is simply not having to wear 5 layers to go out

i love just wearing light summer clothes and sandles

you look so much nicer when you go out in a evening if you dont have to carry a coat with you when you go out

It leads to the joke "All the good looking women are solar powered - they only come out when the sun is out!"

Going to sleep at night with the windows open because it's too hot to keep them closed... or rather waking up in the morning with them open and hearing the birds singing.

Driving home from work without having to have the lights on in my car, having the windows down and listening to some Ibiza choons - it's just not the same listening to the same music in the cold, wet and dark evenings.

Going Rollerblading of an evening... I love it. Hoping to get to London to do a Friday Night Skate this summer too.

Sitting in a beer garden with friends and catching up on stuff.

The girls from the call centre at work

That's my project this year - my garden! I just did the minimum last year, having only moved in in the previous December. But this year, I'm going to give it some proper attention!!

If anyone's any good at this - feel free to help as I have NO CLUE about gardens whatsoever

Oh yeah, there's a large arboretum not far from here. It's awesome to go for long walks there at the end of the summer / beginning of autumn.
