Watched Dog Soldiers last night on Film 4 and loved watching it again after a long while as it's one of my favourite werewolf movies. It has a perfect blend of horror and humour with some good scares and great laughs.

I love the references and inspirations from other movies here in Dog soldiers with scenes and characters that remind me of films like Predator, Jaws, Aliens and The Evil Dead for example.

The werewolves are brilliant as they are not CGI like in other movies today and are actually there with them being guys in suits on stilts.

The werewolf in van helsing was interesting as it had a different way of transforming by actually ripping off the skin

Liked the new version of The Wolfman with Benichio del Toro and Anthony Hopkins. Also an American werewolf in London was amazing special effects for its time.

Ginger Snaps is a great underrated werewolf movie, the cult following lead to a couple of sequels that are alright but not as good as the original.

it looked a little too CGI like for my taste but I liked it none the less, I loved the howling movie too especially the transformation and brutality in that film for it's time was top notch

I agree on American Werewolf in London as it is without a doubt one of the best werewolf movies there is which has good scares and great laughs. The make up effects are just amazing especially when Jack comes back as a an undead.

An American Warewolf in London is a classic in this genre.

Scary but not to bloody or gory like some modern movies.

I seem to remember seeing Rik Mayall in one of the pub scenes.

Also enjoyed the Teen Wolf films with Michael J Fox when I was a teenager.
