Two scenarios:

Earlier this year I was at home in the Middle East and everywhere there were immigrants.

Taking the jobs of the local Arabs just like me. Demanding pay and health and all sorts.

So I moved to the U.K. : I believe it's a tolerant place.

Second:

Last night I was in my taxi, driving a couple, heading home from the pub. It was about 1am

They seemed surprised their taxi driver was from Iran and remarked that they didn't recall the last time they were driven home by a white Brit.

I was all smiles and happiness, as I am happy to be here, working and contributing to a society I have come to love.

Being a Muslim, I don't even drink - especially when I am at work, driving.

They seemed a bit put out by this

A white british pisspot was apparently a better alternative than being driven home by happy, smiley, sober me.

What is this country coming to?

What is the world coming to ?

When I can't travel two thousand miles and get an honest job in a place I don't know, where I know nobody and tolerate cultures I am unfamiliar with.

OK, I wasn't born here but I just want to live a happy and safe life and make money for my family.

What has happened to us ?

My foreign born cab driver was moaning about immigrants coming to Britain and having too many babies. He only had the two himself.

And a friend of my ex husbands whose parents were German immigrants was moaning about the "bozos muzzos" taking over Billingsgate market. Last Bastion of East London ruined apparently.

That does tickle me

I know a Portuguese guy who has lived here for many years who moans like hell about the amount of Spanish and Italians in Manchester these days

Considering British basically means a mixed heritage from numerous invading groups and our various explorations and colonisations, I'm not really seeing the problem.

"Britishness" may be further evolving but it's hardly a pure bloodline being polluted by outsiders!
