Ok, something less contentious (I bloody hope!)

I changed my bedlinen today.

How, when the duvet was laid flat on the bed and I pushed each corner into the cover individually, did the blasted duvet end up inside the cover twisted not once but twice?

How?!

turn the cover inside out, put 2 corners of the quilt into 2 opposite corners of the cover and hold in place. Then you can shake it down...

if that makes sense?

I've climbed in mine before to sort the corners and once fell off the bed inside it.

I don't know

I'm quite expert at snuggling under it and avoiding getting up, if that counts.

Still, at least this time I didn't end up with a cat zipped inside the cover with the duvet.

Like this and can help to drop it over the banister to use the drop over the stairs to help

Or maybe that's just because I am a short arse

It's a king size duvet so I struggle with that. I'm 5' 6", so not particularly short but I don't have the arm span to do the shaking thing properly.

I'm sure the darned thing would still manage to twist itself round anyway.

Exactly this but make sure you keep both ends pinched or you'll need to start again

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I'm glad to read you've changed the bed linen, OP.

I lay the cover out flat, push the corners into the corners and shake. It always works for short me.

I told a mate that after half an hour looking I couldn't find the opening in the king size duvet cover I'd just bought and I was going to take it back to shop. He came round and found it in 30 seconds. But it was a bastard to put on despite there being two of us.
