I love mine. I make one in a morning, take it to work and it does breakfast and lunch.

If you get one or for that matter any blender thing. Use frozen fruit instead of ice. Look round the cheap fruit, take it home, chop it up and freeze it.

Still not got round to making cocktails in yet though.

They are good, make nice smoothie but it takes a lot of trial and error to get the consistency right. Use frozen fruit and natural yogurt and a bit of juice or milk. My other half for one for Christmas and has been experimenting lots

Its a very good blender - can blend raw veg that ordinary blenders would give up on.

I got one for Xmas. Love it.

All to do with the power of the motor. Ordinary blenders will not pulverise frozen fruit and seed anything like as good as the named brands and they will burn out if you try to hard.

They will pretty useless if you use them in addition to what you a already having or/and you overdo the fruit content. The idea is to replace an unhealthy breakfast or lunch with a super healthy blend of greens, seeds and fruit.

Enjoy. Best thing we ever bought and it gets used ever day (twice).

1000 watts not 200 that's what

Sharpened blades

The main difference for the money is how it pulps leaves like kale and spinach into a smooth drinkable consistency xxx

Just over a year of use for every breakfast apart from being away on holiday. Benefits that are very apparent...

Improved metabolic rate

Healthier digestive system

Helped with weight loss

Improved stomach health

Obvious symptomatic improvements.

Heartburn gone.

Stomach bloatedness gone

Improved bladder flow

Improved arthritic pain

General feeling of well being after breakfast.

More motivation to complete exercise targets.

Typical breakfast mix...

4 plum tomatoes

Two fists of kale

Two teaspoons milled flaxseed

Sprinkling of frozen blueberries and frozen summer fruits mix

4 pieces frozen pineapple

Sprinkling of chopped dates

Sprinkling of Goji berries

Three pitted prunes

Half a fresh apple

Half a fresh persimmon

A plum (pitted)

Recipe does vary a little depending on what bits of fresh fruit may be going off.

I think the key is that it is easy to clean as you consume a lot of the fibre instead of trying to scrape it out of some blending mesh mechanism...

It won't be a fad because it is really easy to use and really easy to clean. You can create your breakfast and clean the bullet in about three or four minutes tops. we have no shortage of fad gadgets from sandwich makers, to juicers to various coffee machines but the bullet is now as essential as the kettle and toaster.

I had one similar for when I had my wisdom tooth out.

It did the same job as the nutri bullet with the lids for drinking etc but was morphy richards of something so cost £25 not £100.

Just be careful what you put in them, you can eat half your daily calorie intake and overload on sugar in one smoothie.

It is my belief that they are just the latest overpriced gimmick that is punted around as a cure for all ills. People buy them because they think a gadget or throwing money at a problem will fix it. It wont. If people feel they are fat or unhealthy they need to diet and excercise. That takes commitment, isnt always nice an may involve pain. No wonder people take the easy option.

Also from a nutritional point of view, i think such blenders are bad news. I am pretty certain i have seen articles from nutritionalists saying as much. Why? Because it chomps up and mixes natural fruits and vegs all together where they can interact with eachother not always in a good way.

Also the structure of the food is often destroyed.

Fruit acids are released rather than contained in their cellular structures as they would be if you ate the fruit normally.

Give it a year and this over priced food mixer will be jammed in the cupboard with the bread maker..

Im a terrible eater, especially textures as well has taste. I got mine 8 months ago and I now eat foods I wouldnt even dream off. So if it gives me haof of the nutriants of the food then I`m all for it.

Also were did you get your info from. Is it a one off comment from a Doctor or an health authority issused statement?

I got one for Christmas and have used it quite a bit so far, for green juices and for soup, but also to quickly chop things finely for sauces and stuff because I don't have a food processor. It's so easy to clean that it's been used at least once a day so far.

There are lots of veg that we cannot get maximum benefit from unless they are processed to break the fibres down.

For example, we absorb more vit A from cooked carrots than from raw carrots as they are digested easier. I believe that blending a whole carrot with a whole apple (instead of juicing them) is the same as eating a whole carrot and whole apple. Where's the harm in that?

I think I'll stick to my breakfast on a plate, would miss using a knife and fork.

Don't think sausage, egg, bacon and potato scone would blend well

So I've opted for a NutriNinja! Anyone recommend any nice recipes? I'm not a big fruit eater and so hoping this will help. I've just bought bananas, strawberries, pears, frozen mixed berries, almond milk, oats, spinach. Anything that contains some of these?

The spinach should make up most of what you put in there. I would ditch the pears as they are loaded with sugar.

From the mix you stated I would half fill the mixer with spinach, add two or three strawberries, half a banana and a sprinkling of frozen berries. Half an apple or a carrot would be ok too.

A huge number of people do not eat their recommended five a day and to compound that many also eat complete shit for breakfast, or even miss breakfast altogether.

To get your full five a day requirement in a simple process that takes no time at all to make and is easy to clean and sets you for the day should be a good thing in anyone's book. Yes, salmon and poached eggs is an equally healthy breakfast, but you don't get any fruit and veg in it, it takes much longer to prepare, is more costly and is a PITA to clean up afterwards.

What really is there not to like about something that virtually mainlines nutrients into your system because they are in liquidised form already.

I find spinach makes everything look terrible, but you can't really taste it even if there's loads in. Kale is a bit more bitter.
