Your body tells you what it needs through cravings? Be it sweet or savoury.

No because I've seen lots of people craving sugar and salt in quantities no body needs.

Disagree, nobody "needs" most of the shit that people develop cravings for

I feel I should expand on my earlier comment but the JD is taking hold and I've lost all semblance of cohesian. Something along the lines of...

I've got a really bad sweet tooth but from time to time, the need for savoury kicks in then it vanishes once I've had my fill. Equally, if I come off the sugar for long periods of time I feel my body telling me I need it especially, and obviously, after a pretty hard workout.

The only thing I ever really crave is chocolate and really strong, fresh ground coffee, I don't think my body needs either of these things.

I do think though that if we started with a blank canvas our bodies would still crave sugar, it's what drove the apes to the trees for fruit and a bit of a design fault in my opinion.

I agree. But you interpret what your body needs. Unfortunately that can get quite confused. Search "Food Cravings Chart" in google and it'll come up with a list of healthy alternatives that will completely satisfy you when you crave something bad.

For instance Chocolate = raw nuts, legumes, fruits.

It works for me

...Up on the Downs

I think salt is the only reliable craving, or sugar if you are having a hypo....otherwise your body can easily crave the last things it needs.

I'm not just on about sugar and salt. I mean many things they were just an example. When I started back at the gym 4 years ago my body craved vegemite, never had it before, didn't know what it tasted like but I wanted it and through my work outs I wanted salmon, spinach baby corn etc and in normal life too much wine= Sunday roast or macdonalds. We all crave cock at some point dear

South East Midlands NOT

I disagree. There's no way I need a McDonald's every day.

Or chocolate. Or cigarettes. I crave them every day and fight with myself every day to avoid eating them/smoking. If I gave into my cravings I wouldn't be able to fit through a door and my e-cig would be redundant...as would my renewed half decent health!

I do sometimes crave that sweet taste/aroma that comes from a nicely aroused pussy. The fact that the flavour stays on and around your lips when you move to the next stage and can be shared through deep passionate kisses.......

Actually I think I'm getting that craving now.....I'll need to do something about it!

Sugar is as addictive as heroin according to studies.
