I think the site is pretty much the same.

One change that I a grateful for is that people you block can't hotlist you anymore and keep track of you. It was stalker heaven.

I have changed and use the site in different ways. When I first started out I didn't know about the forum.

The only change would be numbers, when I first joined it was rare that 8000 people would be online, now it is often 25000, a sign that the site is probably doing something right. Well done Fab.

I don't see any difference in the site. I'm still getting similar messages from similar men. It's stayed the same for me although I'm not meeting as much as when I first joined,but that's down to my life,not Fab.

I think the site has changed. The amount of people using it us huge now and the diversity is broader. This has pros and cons but is neither better nor worse.

I use the site totally differently to how I did a year or two ago and that is also very different to how i used it when I first joined several years ago. I suspect that is true for many people

Contrary to what Bike Monkey has just said, I'd say there appears to be a marked drop off in the number of people on here. Maybe the overall numbers have increased, but there seems to be only a handful of forum users now, made up of the same contributors over and over.

Also, interestingly, there's only one person here I recognise from the last time. All of my old friends have gone.

Having been on this site in the past and I'm talking quite a few years now, I would definitely say the forum is far more unwelcoming to newbies than what it used to be, members where more open to new members and made them feel welcome, I've not witnessed any of that since my return

I think it was always as unwelcoming. It depends a lot on whether the poster is male or female...

Sometimes people can be really nice and sometimes not so nice. A recently 'unwelcome' poster seems to have been accepted now, which I like.

Been here over 9 yrs now, the main reason I'm still here is for the forums which have certainly become more diverse. People come, people go. Admin add new features occasionally.

I think it has changed a little... or I have got a bit more savvy.

I think there are a lot more talkers and less meeter's, those who are excited to be on the peripheral of the life style. On a swingers site talking to swingers so naughty, but that is it. They go quiet at the suggestion of actually meeting.

exactly what many newbies have experienced and then left the site. I've witnessed it many times on here and don't blame them for leaving tbh. I give as good as I get and take crap from no one. Everyone else (regulars) are allowed to say it how it is but apparently newbies aren't allowed an opinion or are welcomed when they ask a question.harsh but very true.

I wouldn't say that newbies are treated harshly. If someone comes in here like a bull in a china shop, then they will deservedly take some flack, most though, just take their time, get to know people and settle in nicely.

It's easy enough to look at old forum posts from a fair few years ago. It was no more or less welcoming than it is now. People are looking through rose tinted glasses at a forum that didn't exist

Whatever approach is taken its not exactly welcomed, newbies trying to join in on the forum are practically hunted down and jumped on by "the pack" it can't be argued it's clear to see on the forum, just some decide not to see it.

I would have expected men's attitudes would have changed in the six years I have been here, but seems I was deluded.

The forums? Have always been a scary place and non welcoming to newbies, and still are in most cases with people being snide but trying to pretend not to be by hiding behind an emoji of sorts.

You certainly cannot be a delicate flower and need to be able to hold your own to be on here that is for sure

There are more members...that's a fact.

There seem to be a greater proportion of single guys....but I haven't counted or checked. So that's a perception from:

The forums definitely have many more posts from "single" (or maybe not so single) guys who complain about lack of success (yes "shag" they need patience). Often these guys do attract flack which is where the perception of:

Personally I will /do treat it the same. Like many others...friends have gone or moved on (though I still have contact off site with some) and new friends do/will come along.

Better? Worse? I think that's up to you and what you make of it.

Some back down and give up on the forum, some leave the site and the odd few give as good as they get, put up with the "pack" get put on the naughty step but don't give in, everyone is entitled to an opinion even though they aren't a "pack" member, doesn't go down well but hey ho! Dilligaf

I agree with some of the other comments about this place being intimidating to newbies, especially single men. At first I thought that was down to people being cliquey but not I think it's just because of experience and expectations on both sides. If you're genuine (like me) then you just have to keep persevering until people 'trust' you and can see you're not a dick. Once you get over that then this place is fun and pretty addictive. I've not had any offers or been approached or winked or any of that yet (compared to last time I was on here anyway) but then I'm not expecting that. It would be pretty arrogant to assume that I would be. Besides, I've only got the one public photo :D

When we first joined..a time ago it was fun to meet up and get to learn new people, but now out of 10 maybe 2 turn up. It's become more of a weekend "kick" and go online and skype and "collect" pictures... shrugs... shame really

I've been here a few years and I think there are subtle changes, which may incrementally add up to a fair bit - but probably not.

Bisexuality is more open and acceptable to more here imo. That's positive.

I have obviously changed over this period too. I'm less gullible and prone to make stupid moves. I'm also likely to be treated differently by others as I'm more experienced. My profile reflects some of my experience and I hope avoids mistakes etc that I've encountered before.

With Fab there are also now many more people that each have multi-year experience behind them. I sense that we're a more mature crowd now, which allows newbies to probably feel more comfortable here - though perhaps a little on the periphery.

A positive aspect today is that there are usually enough of us to highlight crap and nonsense for what is, as well as reflect some of the balance that is within the users.

The lounge is now much more free of 'help me with my profile' posts than ever. Good.

I'm guessing it's as hard as ever for some types to get meets. But these people also have more choice away from fab, via non-swinging sites and apps.

when I first joined it was to see what the scene was about, since then I've met a few people who have led me astray, broadened my horizons and shown me what I like.

Everyone has their own want/need from the site and that's what makes it what it is.

one pet hate is cam _iewers who don't read profiles. thank goodness for the block button.

When I first joined Fab it improved year after year, then it reached a point where it seemed to stagnate. New owners seemed to breath new life into the site for a while but for the last couple of years the site seems to me to be getting worse. I don't blame the site owners/admin or the mods, the members make this site what it is and as the membership is constantly changing so the site does too. Just a pity there is no quality control on new sign ups might keep the muppets and fuckwits at bay.

Came off Fab and then re-joined - our honest opinion is that it has gone downhill - infested with fake profiles (even verified ones) - as a result it takes an awful lot of time and effort now to get a genuine meet than it used to do. Pity because its concept is tremendous

definitely worse we use to be on this site a few years ago when meets were made in abundance but since we have come back about 6months it's like rocking horse shit to find a meet from this site, without either going to a club or party.

There appear to be more forum threads asking for help with their profiles and complaining about how difficult it all is from single men with little or poor profiles and having been on the site a very short time.

Looks like patience is lacking. They seem to be aggrieved they don't get sex instantly and have a strong sense of entitlement but can't handle it when they don't get what they want.

It might be me and my Middle Aged perception.
