Tragic, but sadly inevitable, end - such a waste!

Newcastle upon Tyne

Everybody around her contributed to her death including her father, they only wanted to make money.

She was an adult and as such responsible for her own choices.

Peaky Nipples

I was never a fan but you couldn't deny she was a talented artist

Watched this and just thought how tragic it all was, and avoidable if she'd had the right support

The footage of her at the Grammys, when tony Bennett was hosting I thought showed how she was just like any other young kid, completely star struck by her idol

If she'd been nurtured rather than milked, she may have had a different life

Sad when someone dies so young.

Couldn't stand her voice and music, felt she was very over rated.

Her dad seems a total media whore, and a bellend!

"She was an adult and as such responsible for her own choices."

To a certain extent.

Depression / eating disorder and alcoholism are illnesses ; without the right care / help the choices made are often made by the illness not the person

And nobody can help the sufferer unless they help themselves.

Yes, but.....they need support to do that:

The closest people to her didn't help her to help herself; and indeed prevented her from helping herself on a number of occasions.

Her dreadful father only tried to "help" her when she got to the stage when her addictions and behaviours threatened his well being and potential money making opportunities.

I saw the film in June 2015 as a preview before it came out initially in the cinema. Good documentary film though. A very talented singer and died so young

Maybe those commenting on the "villains" of the film should understand that it was written and direct to match the producers narrative and to sell tickets rather than being completely factual. Those I know who know some of those featured in the film really quite well have very different opinions of them and their motives.

Very harsh comments about her father who is a thoroughly decent chap who does lots of work for various charities.
