Hereabouts

Right. I got given a laptop with Ubuntu on it. I really don't like it. I can't even play DVDs because I'm either being a div or it just doesn't work. Either way, I want to change it to windows.

I know nothing about changing operating systems and stuff. Think of your 90 year old grandma trying to use facebook or hook up a wireless printer... that's not even close to the level of cluelessness that I have about this xD

Help?

It's 6 floors. I want a working laptop, not a smushed pile of wires and plastic

That would be something I would do to my detriment

Ubuntu is a lot more hands on than Windows, I've found. That said, there's a lot of community support for Ubuntu. I'd try community.ubuntu.com rather than fabswingers.com

going into an ubuntu support forum and saying "this is shit, how do I change to windows?" is like walking into a church and declaring your love for the devil.

haha I wasn't suggesting that. More that they'd know how to optimise the laptop to make it a bit easier to get around.
