Moving house

Hi considering moving house as we have outgrown the house we have been in for ten years. With a family and pets it's too small four humans and a Labrador in a two up two down however I'm reluctant to move as this is only place I've called home and I brought home my children here. I have to move but I am dreading saying goodbye to my home am I being silly?

You are not being silly, you have just grown attached to your current home which is perfectly reasonable since you have lived there for 10 years. It does sound like moving would be a good idea though given your situation so in the long run it may be for the best. I hope things work out for you

Thank you you are right there is a lot of memories. This next house we are buying so the first one that's properly ours but there's been a lot of good and bad times here and I'll spend months in new house wishing I was back home (here)

Depends how far you're going. You'll get used to a new place soon enough...

Since leaving home at 19, I've had 16 addresses. Some felt like home, others didn't. I love where I live now and see it as a forever home.

nah, we get attatched to some places we live, i've been like that for every place i've lived bar here....yorkshire is the only place i've not felt welcome or at home in and can't wait to move!

really though, a month or two, put your stamp on the place, make it your owm, look at it as a big new exciting project and new phase of life
