And the people I've blocked for harassment still get new profiles and keep messaging me. Block-new profile block again guess what another profile. Some people just won't take no for an answer and need to be banned!!

If you are having problems with a member who keeps sending abusive messages then deleting their profile then make a record of each instance and contact Fab directly. There is no point in posting constantly on the forums as admin don't read the Lounge.

I actually ended up taking a female to court for harassment and it still didn't stop her. She still does it to this day making new profiles etc

I'm sorry you're not getting much sympathy on here.

It's horrible when you feel you can't escape the constant abuse because that person keeps starting up new profiles!

I thought fab didn't allow multiple profiles from the same ip address??

Apart from keeping a record of each new profile and report direct to fab, the only instant thing I can think of, is to put all your filters on, then you can message people you want to speak to!

I guess it's extreme but effective!

perfectly happy with who i am thanks but thanks for asking.

There have been several reasonable responses to your problem, including mine but yo seem to like drama so non are suitable to you.

block newbies, once they get verified and make themselves known to you block and report, threaten to report them to the police as stalking etc is seen as very serious now a days, if that doesnt work then actually do it.

as a site there is little that admin can do to stop people creating new accounts as IP addresses can change and there is no way of determining who is a repeat offender.

The "pack" on here, yes you know who you are, need to remove their heads from their own proverbial arses and realise we aren't all as practiced as you, there are new people that worry and get scared at the sick messages they receive. So if you could all learn a little kindness and well to be honest manners then so many new users wouldn't leave the site after posting once or twice on here and all of you pouncing on them!! Manners cost nothing, frown lines cost you a lot!!!!

Harassment any where isn't nice... And I think people should be a little more sympathetic or just not comment.

Put all your filters on for now.. Or save any messages if they are really abusive and contact police as they can now be prosecuted if traceable

so because not everyone agree's with you (though not sure what it is you are suggesting as a means of resolving the issue to be honest), they are an unkind ill mannered pack..?

others have suggested using the tools of the site (as other's do) to stop this happening to you and that will allow you to use the site how you want and to resolve the pests but you seem unwilling to listen and instead choose to lash out in a fit of pique..

the tools are there for you to resolve this..

Fact of life on the internet, people will open multiple accounts if necessary. Not sure if Fab has the ability, but it is possible to block an IP address which will drastically reduce the chances of starting up a new profile.

However you have posted on a public forum so in that sense it invites opinions and comments many of which have, from what I've read, tried to suggest waya of helping stop messages. None of us know what the messages say but the advice given above is all correct, block, report, delete, report to police if you believe your safety to be in danger.

A combination of blocking new members, unverified and no public pics does the trick in my experience. If it's something you're really worried about, you could always block everyone and just message people yourself.

I give up on getting any sense out of any of you, luckily there's the odd nice person on here that isn't out to "get a non regular poster" because that's what you're all like, read the posts from non regulars, it's always the same and you are all always the same in your response, the evidence is there and none of you can argue it. OP, you can't get better advice than that - other than if you have some nasty individual scaring you here, just hide your profile and stay away for a while. They will lose interest or latch on to someone else.

Pleeeeeasassseeee get a grip

People have given you advise and yet you still wish to carry on moaning

Imyoyr not the only one on this site to have had a stalker

If you have done all the above what people have advised you to do the only other option is to delete profile and make a new one and re invent yourself like many have had to do including myself

I know it's not ideal but maybe it's the only way to stop it

Come back with a new profile

Different pics so they don't recognise you

Change you area slightly

Write up a completely new profile nothing like your old one

And chandelier your username

People will say well why should she do that

No you shouldn't have to

But maybe it's the only way of shaking off your stalker

Oh and if you do do that set all filters so only you can message people

And as I said - if it's really bad, abusive stuff then block everyone from being able to message you. Mine is set this way at the moment and the site is lovely. I only get messages from people I want to be able to message me. I really think that would be the best option for you if the messages are repeatedly abusive.

The opening post says a fake profile you reported 3 months ago is still there. I didn't really get why you wouldn't block it (and therefore not know it was still on site) so people have suggested blocking messages from various types of profile or, if it's that bad, all of them. No bandwagon, no gang of forum crusaders, just a rational response to your problem.

OP you've been told what to do to stop the messages.

What do you want admin to do, go round and beat them up.

Is it just threatening messages or does this person know where you live and is contacting you personally. If this is the case then.report it to the police.

I suspect it's not though, it's just nasty messages on here. It's only a message on the Internet.

But, if the messages are really upsetting you and you can't bear it and its becoming unbearable, then all you have to do is hide or delete your profile and press the off switch on your computer or mobile and you never have to be bothered again. Easy isn't it.

You are understandably angry and upset that your situation has not been resolved. But attacking other forum members when they are giving you step by step advise seems rather pointless.

If you did not want people's options, why post your comment here ?

By blocking all messages using the filters will stop you being affected by any more unwanted Messages.

You said something about the site having a bad name. Not something I have heard. But if you genuinely feel that, and you feel your problem is not being acted upon......maybe it's time to leave the site and try somewhere else.

I hope things improve for you if you follow the advise given in the posts that are here to help you.
